Earnhardt Emmy Nominated for Outstanding Sound

It was an honor to be nominated for a Sports Emmy for my work on the Earnhardt miniseries in the Outstanding Sports Audio: Post-Produced category.

It was an aggressive high-octane mix, and I’m so proud of all the work that our entire sound team and filmmaking teams did on that show, and I’m trilled it was nominated.

This is my fourth Emmy nomination for sound, and my first in the Sports Emmys branch.

Cookie Queens Wins SXSW Audience Award

It has been so fun to watch Cookie Queens continue its festival circuit after its Sundance debut, it’s been playing all around the world, and I’ve enjoyed reading the positive reviews and seeing so many people celebrate the film.

It was especially wonderful to see it receive the SXSW Festival Favorites Audience Award as well too!

The Bend in the River, Teenage Wasteland, and Cookie Queens all Pick Up Distribution

It’s been a great year for my recent projects, as the last three features I’ve sound supervised and mixed have all been picked up for distribution. The Bend in the River and Teenage Wasteland were both acquired by Netflix after their Telluride and Sundance premieres. Teenage Wasteland was directed by Jesse Moss and Amanda McBain and will debut on September 4th. The Bend in the River was directed by Robb Moss and executive produced by Joel Coen and Francis McDormand and will premiere December 4th.

And Cookie Queens, directed by Alysa Nahmias and produced by Michael Dweck and Gregory Kershaw, was acquired by Roadside Attractions and will be playing in theaters nationwide beginning August 7th. The trailer can be watched here!
